The hand-loom technique used to weave the textile used in this wallet is called “ikat”, a system of tye-ing and dyeing threads to create intricate patterns. These hand woven cloths are made by the Dayak Desa residing in Sintang, West Kalimantan. Making ikat textiles is complex and involves oiling thread, coloring, knotting and weaving processes, along with spiritual rituals.
The trim of this case are made of genuine leather.
